Dmitry Gudkov passed a test on the "Lie Detector"

Excluded from Fair Russia, deputy Dmitry Gudkov, a test was held on the “lies detector” in the program of Vladimir Solovyov’s “Full Contact” on the Vesti FM radio, the radio station reports . The test confirmed that Gudkov traveled to the United States at his own expense, and the text on the forum of the human rights organization Freedom House wrote on his own.

Gudkov admitted that before the performance in the United States he met with the ambassador Michael McFol, but did not discuss the content of the text with him. They talked about the search for assets of Russian officials in the United States. In addition, Gudkov did not agree on his speech in the Senate with representatives of the Russian opposition or with the State Department. The politician wrote the text in Russian independently, the polygraph confirmed, he only needed help with translation into English.

At the same time, as the audit showed, Gudkov did not suggest that his speech would cause such a resonance. The result of the procedure was the lack of direct indications of Gudkov’s secret contacts with American politicians and lobbying to his other people's interests. Testing on a "lies detector" does not entail legal consequences.

"I demand apologies!" - wrote Gudkov on the blog. In his opinion, deputies Sergey Zheleznyak, Vladimir Zhirinovsky and Nikolai Levichv should apologize for attacks on him. "I also urge them to go through the same test and answer the question whether they coordinated Gudkov’s injury in the Kremlin," Gudkov writes.

The deputy recalls that the head of the State Duma Committee on Security and Combating Corruption, Irina Yarovaya, refused to pass the polygraph test. She was invited to answer the question, where did she get the apartment for three million dollars.

The day before, the State Duma Commission on deputy ethics recommended Gudkov voluntarily passing the mandate and publicly apologize in connection with a performance during a trip to the United States. "The decision of the commission was made, it will be submitted to the ward, it is to recommend to the deputy Gudkov to bring public apologies to the media, deprive the right to speak at plenary meetings for a month and recommend the deputy to use his right and voluntarily pass the mandate," said Igor Lebedev, Vice Speaker of the State Duma.

In early March, Gudkov visited Washington. He made a speech in which he invited American politicians to put pressure on the Russian authorities, including the State Duma, in order to combat corruption. In addition to Gudkov, the head of the Moscow Helsinki group Lyudmila Alekseeva and the co-chair of the RPR-Parnas Mikhail Kasyanov participated in the forum. The deputy also conducted negotiations in the United States on joint work to identify undeclared real estate of Russian officials and deputies and visited families where adopted children from Russia live.
