The City Hall of Omsk, without explaining the reasons, was canceled by the coordination of the holiday "Seeing the Winter", which local Ronnovers planned to hold on Sunday in the Green Island park. According to the organizers of the holiday on the page on the VKontakte network, the authorities made such a decision after a letter from Metropolitan Vladimir, who expressed dissatisfaction with the event in the great post, since it allegedly offends the feelings of believers.

“I would like to note that we - the organizing committee of the Fulfillment Family“ West Smeres ” - respect the believers of all faiths, but we remind you that we live in a secular state and consider such medieval methods unacceptable,” the Rhodovers said in a statement.

As a result, the holiday was canceled. The organizers urge their like -minded people to apply to the governor of the region, the mayor of the city and the Minister of Culture.

Vladimir headed the diocese in 2011. Before him, the department of Metropolitan of Omsk and Tarsky was occupied by Theodosius. In January 2013, Vladimir said that his predecessor rewrote all the transport of the diocese, as well as a house on Assumption street with collections of icons and paintings. According to the Metropolitan, Patriarch Kirill instructed him to return the property assigned to Feodosia, but so far it was only partially fulfilled by the order of the head of the Russian Orthodox Church. The Ikarus and Maksus buses were seized and re -registered from Feodosia to the diocese, and cars are still considered the property of the former lord.

In October 2012, unknown people painted a cross with red paint, installed on the territory of the University of Omsk on the site where it is supposed to build a chapel. Participants in the action left a note in which they condemned the policy of the Russian Orthodox Church, aimed at inflating - up to sacralization - the identity of Vladimir Putin. “Religion cannot be two -faced,” the note said, “as it becomes a political prostitute.”
