The most terrible thing in the current process of implementing GTO standards is not even the absurdity of this event. We are already accustomed to the absurd. It’s already difficult to surprise us with anything. 100 books, 100 films, military industrial complex - you can’t even remember how many there were.
The lightning speed with which bosses and supervisors of all stripes rushed to implement this into practice is terrible. Although this energy is quite understandable - you don’t have to do anything essentially, you just need to add one more item to the existing reporting and through this increase the pressure on subordinates. It is known that any new form of control and reporting only strengthens the power of the administration.
The silence of society is terrible, which has either become numb from the stream of mind-blowing initiatives, or has already reached the highest point of indifference: “do with me what you want, I don’t care anymore.”
It’s also terrible that under any global initiative, a whole bunch of foul-smelling innovations are shoved into our load.
For example, to this very GTO our valiant Ministry of Education quickly attached the long-cherished idea of a portfolio.
Like, since we keep in mind the GTO standards when entering a university, it means they need to be taken into account somehow. It is impossible to add up with Unified State Examination points, here Remorenko made a reservation, which means we are updating the idea of a portfolio, a student’s passport, the idea of, as I call it, educational karma.
Employers also perked up. Everyone somehow missed the fact that the GTO standards do not belong to the “18-” category, but to the “10+” category, that is, they also affect the rest of the population who have left school and student age. This means that they can be used as an additional argument in the eternal employee-employer dispute.
In general, before society blinks an eye, passing the GTO standards will become a powerful means of manipulation and one of the employer’s instruments of pressure on the employee.
I think that first introducing a corresponding clause into the collective agreement, at the request of the work collective itself, and then extending it to the new Labor Code, will only be a matter of technique for our employers.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they also decide to tie the amount of pension provision to the implementation of GTO standards. Indeed, in old age, health becomes especially important.
In general, it is very similar to the situation with the introduction of the Unified State Exam.
Just as they gathered there and, purely technically, formally approached the solution of a number of systemic problems of education, so here they are trying to put the most complex issues of the development of sports and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle into the Procrustean bed of GTO tables.
After all, the health of the population has deteriorated not only because these same GTO standards were abolished, but because people began to eat poorly, because our healthcare system is extremely bad, sports sections are paid, and there is no time for a healthy lifestyle and strength.
At the same time, it is assumed that the whole country will begin to pump up the press (in paid gyms), do pull-ups on the horizontal bar (which are not available) instead of studying and working, improve in pull-ups and squats, and not practice criticizing the authorities behind the monitor screen. Jogging in order to get into a university and not get thrown out of work is what a citizen should do on the weekends, and not social and political activity. They will figure out politics and public life without him.
This is how a sports and physical education idyll is depicted.
And looking at all this disgrace, I remember the advice of teacher Melnikov from “We’ll Live Until Monday”: “It’s not your legs that need to be developed, but your head.”
After all, our heads are the worst. And losing your head, as another famous character said, is a serious loss.
