Based on the results of two months of this year, experts from the interregional public center “For the Safety of Russian Roads” compiled a rating of our country’s roads. Such indicators as the number of accidents and the number of victims per total population were taken into account.
The Tyumen region was recognized as the safest region. The Belgorod region and the Republic of Udmurtia also made it into the top three.
The Moscow region was at the bottom of this list, occupying only 27th place. St. Petersburg is even lower - 32nd place. The Perm region closes the ranking - 33rd place.
I would also like to note that at the end of 2012, Google assessed the quality of Russian roads, where Moscow and St. Petersburg took leading positions. But Tyumen, by no means, is located only in 17th place. From which we can conclude that the better the quality of the road surface, the more accidents occur on it. And vice versa. Is broken road surface a guarantee of safe travel for Russian drivers?
