FSB officers refused to work because of "Kadyrov's guards"

Officers of the central apparatus of the FSB are ready to resign and refuse to go to work in protest against the release of “Kadyrov’s guards,”Novaya Gazeta reports. The names of those who went on strike are not reported.

FSB officers told a newspaper reporter that the leadership ordered “not to touch Kadyrov’s entourage until the end of the Olympics in Sochi.” Among the guards mentioned are Khozh-Akhmed Israilov, Adam Israilov, Dzhambulat Makhmatmurziev, Muskhadzhi Musulaev.

“You see, they didn’t just spat on our souls - our families were put at risk. Why did we go to Chechnya and collect evidence? There we were herded by natural bandits in uniform, and we almost became hostages. <...> And now we find out “that these same “Kadyrov’s guards” who are involved in crime in Moscow were quietly released,” said one of the FSB officers. NG's interlocutors believe that now they have no guarantees of personal safety.

The people, whom the FSB called security guards for the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, were released from a Moscow pre-trial detention center in March. Instead of arrest, they were given a written undertaking not to leave the place. The FSB officer who was against the release of the guards was fired, sources told the newspaper.

According to investigators, on August 23, 2011, 10-12 people kidnapped a native of Georgia in Moscow. They tortured him, extorted a Lexus lx 570 car, and kept him in the house of a certain businessman Nabi M near Moscow. The victim, who goes by the name Grigory according to the case materials, refused to give up the car and was dropped off on the side of the highway. The abducted man was found and sent to the hospital, where he stayed until 2012, and then went to the police. After the victim testified, several citizens of Chechnya were detained, including an operative of the Center for Ensuring the Security of Persons Subject to State Protection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Chechen Republic Zelimkhan Israilov and a junior sergeant of the regiment of the Military District of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Chechen Republic Yunus Rasukhadzhiev. The detainees were accused of kidnapping, extortion and causing grievous bodily harm. The head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, took the case under personal control.
