The cyclone, which covered Ukraine and the central regions of Russia with snow, is moving towards the Sverdlovsk region, where it will linger for several days, the regional center for hydrometeorology and environmental monitoring reported on Monday.
“And although the cyclone has noticeably weakened, by the end of the working week, as a result of almost daily snowfalls, the amount of precipitation during the period March 26-29 may exceed half the monthly norm,” the report says.
According to weather forecasters, precipitation will stop only by the weekend - March 30-31.
Freezing temperatures will prevail throughout the week.
“The average temperature for the period March 26-30 will be minus 3-5 degrees, which is 2-4 degrees below normal,” the press release said.
