Valery Popov, head of the information technology and document management of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, at a meeting of the Committee on the Rules, promised that tablet computers with special "senatorial" software and corporate SIM cards with Internet traffic to 7 gigabytes per month will be issued to the upper house members, ITAR-TASS reports.

One of the senators, however, asked why this card is needed if mobile phones are currently not included in the norm of providing senators. "We received phones five or six years ago, button yet. What is the Internet on them? What to do with this SIM card?"

However, the senator immediately made it clear that the replica is not a practical nature, since none of the parliamentarians, of course, are not used by such "ancient" official phones.

The head of the Department of SF confirmed that the new mobile phones for the state accounts are not laid for the senators, but explained that the SIM card is not intended for phones, but for Samsung's service tablet computers with a detachable keyboard.

However, he did not specify the period to which the senators will acquire official portable computers, but this, apparently, will happen in the coming months.

Earlier, the chairman of the Council of Council Valentina Matvienko said that in paper form senators will soon receive only a summons. As a rule, the volume of documents for the meeting in the folder of each senator reached 100-150 pages. Senators then announced the need to completely replace the "long -outed" working computer equipment.

Meanwhile, according to the Kommersant newspaper, American parliamentarians would like to make their life even more radically - to start working remotely. The Republican Congressman Steve Pierce made the idea of ​​creating a "virtual congress", in which legislators will not have to go to Washington every week, or it will be possible to hold meetings on video communication.

This will make the work of the Congress more transparent, increase the level of responsibility to society, and also allow voters to communicate with the government without unnecessary obstacles and unrest, the American legislator explained.

According to the pier, this approach has long been used in large corporations and ministries. And the congressmen themselves have long communicated with voters not only through letters and calls, but also in social networks, video conferences and channels on YouTube. In his opinion, this is a good reason to go even further and reduce budget expenses for frequent expensive trips to Washington 535 members of Congress.
