On Tuesday, March 26, about 34 thousand cubic meters of water entered the mine, which accumulated after production. The miners were evacuated. There were 143 people in the mine, but 139 came to the surface, three of whom received minor injuries while climbing out of the flooded mine. Five people remained in the mine to eliminate the consequences of the accident, four people disappeared.
The Osinnikovskaya mine is a branch of OJSC Yuzhkuzbassugol, which is part of the Evraz company. Evraz was founded by Roman Abramovich in 1992, and now he owns 36.44% of the shares.
