Police: Berezovsky was found with a bandage around his neck

Boris Berezovsky was found on the bathroom floor with a “bandage around his neck,” Chief Inspector Mark Bissell of Thames Valley Police said on Thursday, The Independent reported.

A piece of similar material was also found on a shower curtain bar above the deceased businessman, Bissell said at a coroner's court hearing held as the investigation into Berezovsky's death began.

Earlier on Thursday, the results of the autopsy of the disgraced oligarch became known, from which it follows that he had a broken rib . Even earlier it was said that the cause of his death was hanging .

Boris Berezovsky was found dead on March 23 in the bathroom of his mansion in Berkshire, England. Some time later, the police stated that there were no signs of a “third party” being involved in the businessman’s death. However, the businessman's relatives stated that he could have been strangled.
