The lawyer for the victims in the case of a fatal accident on Kutuzovsky Prospekt in Moscow with the participation of Hieromonk Elijah (Paul Semin), Igor Trunov, said that the protocols of interrogations of witnesses who saw the priest drunk disappeared from the investigation materials, reports LifeNews .

“It has now become clear that when the case was transferred from one investigator to another, a lot of materials were lost: discs with video recordings, diagrams and even testimonies of witnesses who saw Pavel Semin drunk after the accident,” Trunov said. “As a result, these witnesses were not even called to court,” he added.

According to the lawyer, the disappearance of the data was established due to the fact that the victims once photographed the protocols containing a list of materials on the case.

It was previously reported that camera footage from the accident scene had disappeared . The investigation did not look for a video recording of the incident, although the scene of the accident was under the surveillance of at least 8 surveillance cameras, Trunov notes.

“We will ask the court to establish where all this disappeared,” the lawyer said.

Meanwhile, the Main Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Moscow denies that any documents have disappeared from the criminal case. “All materials have been sent to the court in full,” the press service said. “Let the lawyer’s fabrications regarding the lost documents remain on his conscience.”

On the night of August 16, 2012 in Moscow on Kutuzovsky Prospekt, 26-year-old hieromonk Elijah (Pavel Semin) hit three people while driving a Mercedes Gelandewagen. As a result of the accident, pedestrians died. The hieromonk himself tried to escape from the scene, but was later detained by police.
