Expanding the space of struggle

In Novosibirsk, a search was conducted at the home of local oppositionist Andrei Terekhin. He did not immediately open the door to the uninvited guests, and then they broke the window and climbed into the apartment. All of Terekhin’s laptops and tablet were confiscated. They did not give me the opportunity to write a comment in the search report. Then Terekhin was taken for interrogation, but as a result, without asking him anything, they released him. As reported on Twitter, the search warrant mentioned the main suspects in the case of preparations for organizing mass riots - Sergei Udaltsov and Leonid Razvozzhaev.

Terekhin is a prominent Novosibirsk oppositionist and public figure. He coordinated the activities of the Siberian Regional Center of the Civil Corps, an organization created after the flood in Krymsk to help people affected by emergencies. He was one of the organizers of the May protest festivities in the city (“OccupyNsk”) and the “OccupyLes” camp, where Udaltsov came.

On the same day, searches took place in Orel at the head of the local branch of the movement “For Human Rights” Dmitry Krayukhin and human rights activist Veronika Katkova. According to investigators, Krayukhin met with Udaltsov in Orel. As Pavel Chikov, head of the Agora Association, which provides legal assistance to citizens, writes on Twitter, representatives of the Investigative Committee may visit everyone with whom Udaltsov has met in recent years. Investigator Timofey Grachev also announced that new searches were coming in the case of preparing mass riots at a meeting in the Basmanny Court, where Udaltsov’s house arrest was extended.

A day later, a search took place at the home of Left Front activist and deputy assistant Ilya Ponomarev in Ivanovo, Dmitry Rukavishnikov. They confiscated his hard drives, flash drives, books and clothes he was wearing on May 6 on Bolotnaya Square in Moscow. Meanwhile, Rukavishnikov is officially involved in the case as a witness. Later it became known that Rukavishnikov was detained and taken to Moscow. He is suspected of participating in mass riots on Bolotnaya Square on May 6 - he allegedly “pushed overturned dry toilets towards police officers.” On April 3, he was charged, and on April 4, the court decided to place him under arrest for two months.
