The Irkutsk region supported the protest of the Taishet

Today in Irkutsk, Shelekhov and Angarsk pickets were held in support of the inhabitants of the city of Taishet, who are fighting the construction of the anode factory by Rusal Oleg Deripaska. Twenty activists came to the action in Irkutsk. The picket took place in the Kirov Square near the government of the Irkutsk region, and it so happened that the protesters stood near the Subtigulu building, as well as near the Irkutskenergo building - companies related to Oleg Deripaska. There were inscriptions on the posters: “Governor, defend Taisit from the capitalist Deripaska!”, “Taishetsy, hold on! Irkutski with you!”, “The enterprises rusal kill the ecology of the cities of the Angara region!”. The protest was attended by Irkutsk ecologists, activists of "Baikal Protection" and representatives of the unregistered party "Another Russia".

In the city of Metallurgov, Shelekhov, one of the local activists came to a single picket today. Near the company’s building, a man stood with a poster: "The enterprises of Rusal kill the ecology of the Angara region! Taishet began a conversation, but what about Shelekhov?" In Shelekhov, the Irkutsk aluminum plant has been working in 50 years.

In the city of Neftekhimikov, Angarsk, a single picket was also held in support of Taishetets. The activist of Ecoangarsk Viktor Vaszov entered the protest campaign, which does not require approvals. On one poster was the inscription "Taishet! Residents of the city of slow death - Angarsk - with you. Fight!", And on the second - "There is no Deripaska's plans to poison the nature of the region!".

In Thaisite, they also do not inactive. The collection of signatures against the construction of the anode factory near the city continues. According to the deputy of the city Duma Sergey Semenov, today 13,537 signatures have been collected in the 35,000th city. The other day, an expanded meeting of the initiative group with the participation of representatives of public organizations Taishet was held. Activists have developed a plan for further actions, but its details are not yet disclosed, as they are afraid of provocations. Today it also became known that the public reception company Rusal in the city no longer works. According to Sergei Semenov, it was located in the inaccessible area of the city, the reception was three hours for five days. Activists doubt that one of the Taishetians got to this reception. Although according to Rusal’s information, it was opened just in order to answer people to questions related to the construction of the anode factory, and to remove the tense atmosphere in the city.
