MP Dmitry Gudkov, who was expelled from the A Just Russia party in mid-March , denied accusations published by the Izvestia newspaper on Tuesday that he concealed a stake in a family business in Bulgaria when submitting a declaration before the 2011 parliamentary elections.

“The 23% share of the Bulgarian company Marie House... is indicated in all Duma declarations,” Dmitry Gudkov said in his microblog on Twitter on Tuesday.

His father, Gennady Gudkov, also denied the published information. “The ownership of company shares in Bulgaria has long been indicated in the declarations of Gennady and Dmitry Gudkov,” he wrote.

The Izvestia newspaper reported on Tuesday that Gudkov Jr., before the State Duma elections in 2011, hid from voters the presence of an almost 25 percent stake in the Bulgarian company Marie House. According to the publication, the company, located in the Palma Hotel in the Golden Sands resort area, has four founders - the head of the family, former State Duma deputy Gennady Gudkov, his wife Maria Gudkova, and their children Dmitry and Vladimir Gudkov. Izvestia stated that Gudkov first claimed that he was not obliged to indicate a share in the business in the declaration, and then stated that he had temporarily transferred the shares to his brother.
