Free legal assistance

The Orthodox help service “Mercy” is expanding legal support for people in difficult life situations, the service’s press center reports.

Fill out documents in a timely manner to receive benefits and government subsidies, resolve housing or labor disputes, cope with the problem of an outstanding loan - people far from jurisprudence are often lost in resolving such issues. Many people are unable to pay for the services of a commercial law firm. Volunteer lawyers from the Mercy help service will be able to help such people.

“According to statistics, every ninth person in need requires legal support and advice,” says Olga Sokolova, coordinator of volunteer lawyers at the Mercy help service. “Often it is an unresolved legal problem that brings a person into a crisis situation.”

Free legal consultation is provided at the Mercy service three times a week: on Mondays and Fridays from 17:00 to 20:00, and on Saturdays from 12:00 to 15:00. Anyone can sign up for a consultation by calling the Mercy helpline at 8(495) 972-97-02.
