On Thursday, the Basmanny Court arrested the activist of the Left Front Dmitry Rukavishnikov until June 2. According to the correspondent of "faces", Judge Natalya Mushnikova satisfied the application of the investigation to detain the new defendant of the "Swamp business".

Rukavishnikov leads the branch of the Left Front in Ivanovo. On Tuesday, he was a search. He was brought to Moscow and charged under Part 2 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code (participation in the riots). The activist faces up to 8 years in prison.

According to investigators, on May 6, in the swamp square of Rukavishnikov, he destroyed the property by moving on asphalt in order to prevent the passage of police officers. " The activist recognized one of the police officers. A photograph in which Rukavishnikov stands near the toilet cabin was attached to the case. Rukavishnikov’s lawyer Alexander Denisov objected that the activist could not be accused of destroying property if, according to the case file, he moved the booths with a different intent - to create obstacles to the police movement.

Denisov said that the materials presented by the investigation are incorrectly designed and not certified. In the case, there is no copy of the search protocol that the investigator refers to. In addition, links to materials of operational-search measures cannot serve as the basis for detention, the lawyer noted.

The representative of the Investigative Committee in court claimed that Rukavishnikov was hiding from the investigation and often changed their place of residence. Lawyers refuted these statements: Rukavishnikov lives in his apartment, has a permanent job, and is married. The investigation materials emphasize that he was engaged in social activities and was an assistant to the deputy Ilya Ponomarev.

Vadim Danilov’s cousin Rukavishnikov, also an activist of the Left Front, living near Moscow, offered his apartment in a hub for house arrest Dmitry. Their mother came to the court.

On Monday, a search in the "Swamp case" was held by the Oryol human rights activists Dmitry Krayukhin and Veronika Katkova. After the interrogation in the local center, “E” Krayukhin was released. He refused to answer the questions of the security forces, referring to the 51st article of the Constitution. No documents of interest to the investigation were found. On the same day, searches in Orel were held by the leader of the local branch of the United Civil Front Georgy Sargsyan and civil activist Vladimir Morozov.
