During the daytime, the snow thaws, evaporates, and freezes at night. This restrains rapid melting, so the flood in the Moscow region has not yet begun. This regime will continue around mid-April,” Lyakhov said.
“Only by next weekend there is a chance that the air temperature will become positive throughout the day - both at night and during the day - and more active snow melting will begin,” added the head of the Moscow Hydrometeorological Bureau.
