Although the Greek musician Yianni Chrysomallis recorded his first album back in 1984, for a huge number of people who seem to be specifically interested in popular music, his name means little. It is obvious that Yanni is a special type of pop star, who came to people during the heyday of MTV, but not through videos and radio, but through films, albums and grandiose concert shows, combining a lot of folklore layers and wittily exploiting a certain arithmetic mean of the Middle Eastern-Mediterranean coloring In his youth, the artist studied philosophy at the University of Minnesota, and perhaps it was this knowledge that pushed him to create albums that can be found in the collapse of markets in a variety of warm places - from Baku to Tel Aviv and from Athens to Odessa. Yanni modestly calls his life's work "contemporary instrumental music", but this, of course, is primarily luxury reflected in sound, as it is understood in areas that make money from trade and navigation. Scale, comfort and an abundance of shiny objects are the hallmarks of Yanni's concerts. This is the music of migrants who gradually become the main characters in their new homeland. Gathering musicians from different countries and different races into his orchestra, Yanni promotes “A World Without Borders” (that’s the name of his current tour), but in fact tells the audience that only by leaving your cheerful but poor regions can you achieve real success .
