Human rights activists report inspections at the Memorial office in Murom
Law enforcement agencies came to check the Murom branch of Memorial, Pavel Chikov, head of the interregional human rights organization Agora, said on Sunday.
“In Murom, prosecutors came to the Memorial office. All employees are 75-80 years old. They demanded abstracts for a speech at a rally in memory of the repressed,” Chikov wrote on Sunday on his Twitter . There he added : “Once again: prosecutors, at the instigation of the president, descended on the 80-year-old victims of Stalin’s political repression and demanded texts from the memorial rally. 2013.”
