President Vladimir Putin, speaking in the Netherlands at a joint press conference with the prime minister of the country, Mark Rutte, thanked local LGBT activists, for the fact that they did not undress in front of him, as Femen’s activists did in Hanover. “Thank God that homosexuals did not share here,” Putin RIA Novosti reports.
The Russian guest also noticed that he would prefer that not naked female bodies, but sausage or lard at the exhibition in Hanover. “I didn’t have time to have breakfast in the morning. If they, as they say, showed me or lard, it would have pleased me, and those charms that they demonstrate are not very,” said Putin.
According to Putin, "in the Russian Federation there is no infringement of the rights of sexual minorities." Representatives of the LGBT community use the same rights and freedoms as other Russians, in particular, have the same opportunities for career growth, the Russian president noted.
Putin added that as the head of state should take into account the interests of sexuals. “We need to achieve a consensus with this community, agree with them about joint work,” he said. “I think this is possible.”
The Russian President also stated that Russian homophobic laws only prohibit promoting homosexuality in schools. At the same time, he noted that the adoption of such laws is the initiative of the regions, which "is not provoked from the federal center." At the same time, Putin said, the appearance of such initiatives testifies to "the mood of the entire Russian society" and this mood should be taken into account. “I can hardly imagine that in Chechnya this is allowed - same -sex marriages,” he added. “Can you imagine it? It would have reached the victims.”
Putin urged to take into account the differences in the mentality of peoples. He noticed that in Russia the court hardly allowed the organization to propagate pedophilia to work, while in the Netherlands such an organization acts completely legally. “I can hardly imagine that we have earned a party that women are in politics. There is such a party here,” the Russian President added.
“We agree with you that nevertheless the same -sex marriages do not produce children,” Putin also said. “In Europe and Russia, we are faced with a demographic problem.” This problem, the President of Russia noted, can also be solved at the expense of migrants, "but I would like that in Russia, first of all, the birth rate to grow at the expense of the so -called title nations."
Putin’s visit to the Netherlands takes place against the background of a gay parade against homophobic laws adopted in Russia. The action was coordinated by the authorities of Amsterdam.

On Monday morning, Femen activists broke through to Putin at the Hanover exhibition in Germany. The girls among the media representatives penetrated the fence, divided into the waist and began to shout out obscene anti -Putin slogans in Russian and English. The same phrases were written on their bodies. In particular, activists chanted "Go to the dick, Putin!" One of the photos shows that Putin, when one of the girls was about two meters from him, raised two thumbs upwards (
