About the upcoming congress in Ingushetia

A congress of the people of Ingushetia is scheduled for April 20, 2013 in the village. Nesterovskoe. The preparation and holding of the congress is entrusted to the organizing committee of 15 people, who are employees of the Administration of the Head and deputies of Parliament R.I. And among them there is not a single representative of opposition parties and movements. I can imagine that at this congress there will be many deliberately prepared, strictly regulated speeches and speeches with angry condemnation of dissent, praising the ruling elite and their achievements in the socio-economic situation. In general, a little bit of everything, but essentially nothing!

But there are ulterior motives in this show, which can be judged by the agenda, which is especially alarming. These questions are formulated as follows:

a) about the situation related to the determination of the border between the Republic of Ingushetia and the Chechen Republic;

b) about the socio-political situation in the Republic of Ingushetia in connection with the upcoming elections of the Head of the Republic of Ingushetia in 2013.

I have already said that the question of the temporary border between the two republics, which suddenly took hold of the minds of their two heads, even if it flashed first in the mind of one of them, could not have advanced so far and been escalated for so long without the participation of the Kremlin scriptwriters. After all, it is absolutely obvious that it would have been easily resolved and both sides would have quickly forgotten about it after one single shout or call from Moscow. This is how the vertical of power is built. But there has been no shout or call yet! This means that someone needs it, and this “someone” knows when to vote?! It is not difficult to assume that the congress will adopt a resolution with an appeal to the fraternal people and the heads of both republics in the spirit of the recent past, which does not oblige anyone to anything. After all, the people do not need any aggravations or escalation, much less squabbles between the two leaders. They want peace and tranquility, which have now begun to depend not on them and not even on these very heads sent to their heads. They are entirely in the hands of those same Kremlin scriptwriters who have completely lost their sense of proportion if they allow themselves to use such dangerous scenarios. You shouldn’t be particularly surprised if a third party appears behind the scenes of this performance in an effort to aggravate the situation and gloat at its fruits. We have already gone through all this, and we don’t really want to stir up the dirty laundry of past years for the upcoming congress.

But today the second issue on the agenda, related to the upcoming elections of the Head of the Republic, is more pressing for the people. And the intrigue, the danger of the moment is precisely here - in the pre-prepared “unanimous” decision of the upcoming congress to abolish direct elections in the republic and reappoint the current Head for another term. It is not difficult to assume that at the congress there will be a dozen or two lickers selected by the organizers with memorized texts and questions, with which they will carpet the path to the podium. And there will be even more professional clackers who will be provided with seats. All together they will, from a high rostrum, send angry invective and defamation to the heads of opponents of the current government and actively clap their hands.

The republic’s authorities have been preparing for a long time for a crucial moment for themselves and have previously cleared the internal political field. Just the other day, by decision of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Ingushetia, the opposition website “Ingushetia.ru” was closed, and pressure and threats against social movements, in particular against the RPM “Mekhk Khel”, increased. And if such a scenario is successful, then you can safely put a pillar on the grave that has been freshly dug for the burial of the self-determination of the people, their honor and dignity! It is to this line that the republican leadership has brought the convened people today.

I would like to note once again that in order to resolve the issue of electing the Head of the Republic, no congresses or referendums are needed in principle. Our right to direct elections is already enshrined in the Constitutions of the republic and the country. We must not dissemble in front of our people, but, guided by this right, organize fair elections.
