"Big City" can be presented to reporters

Alexander Vinokurov. Frame "rain"

The owner of the magazine "Big City" Alexander Vinokurov is ready to give the publication to reporters. He writes about this on his Facebook page. The option when the media belongs to those who do it, he considers "the best design for future media, free and independent."

“Maybe it will be correct if I give the“ big city ”of the editorial office? Well, or those from the editorial office who want. The whole“ Big City ”, with the magazine, site, brand, archive, computers, etc., is almost yours almost yours, you spent a bunch of your time, talent, emotions,” writes Vinokurov.

On Friday, Vinokurov met with the chief editors of the magazine and the site Alexei Munipov and Ekaterina Kronhaus, managing the editor of the site Ekaterina Swarovskaya and General Director Maxim Kashulinsky. Initially, Kronhaus said that Vinokurov decided to dismiss the entire editorial office of the site without compensation, threatening to close the printed version in case of protests.

In an interview with Tone, Samsonova Vinokurov noted that the publication brings significant losses. In February, he gave the editorial office two months to correct the situation, but it was not possible to "do something magical". However, various options are considered. “Today no one is dismissed, nothing is closed, everything continues to work as it works. I think that it will work for sure next week, we’ll look further, maybe it will be so,” said Vinokurov.

Earlier on Facebook, he noted that he admits several options for "approaching the results of the magazine to economic rationality." For this purpose, it is necessary to reduce monthly expenses from the current 10.8 million rubles to six million. "Now the BG team is discussing four possible options for achieving this goal. 1. Parting with part of the employees; 2. Proportional reduction of salaries for everyone; 3. Transition for public financing (crowdfunding); 4. Closing of the BG project," Vinokurov wrote.

Meanwhile, Kashulinsky denied the idea of closing the project. “There is no idea to close a magazine or site. There is an idea to save both, since we believe in our readers and in the future of high -quality city media. First of all, it was decided to do this by reducing the costs of the site. The site will have a smaller budget and, apparently, another strategy. We continue to discuss this plan,” the Kashulinsky television channel “Rain” said.

The Big City magazine was launched by the Poster Publishing House in 2002, in 2010 it was sold to the rain media holding, which belongs to Natalia Sindeeva and Alexander Vinokurov.

In June 2012, the editor -in -chief Philip Dzjako left the magazine. According to him, investors proposed changing the direction of the magazine "towards Lifestyle".
