Putin: The global crisis acquires more and more dangerous outlines

President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev agreed to hold a special meeting with the participation of the economic bloc of the government, members of the Kremlin administration and experts to discuss the prospects of the Russian economy, taking into account negative trends in the world market, Finmarket reports.

At a meeting on Monday in the Kremlin, Dmitry Medvedev informed the president of an order to the government "with the involvement of experts to prepare proposals related to how we still resist this international trend and try to give additional impulses to the development of the Russian economy."

He invited the president to "meet and talk in general about the development of the Russian economy for the near future, taking into account the formed trends."

"Let’s, maybe we will do this on the exit, we will invite the economic block of the government, part of the presidential administration, which is engaged in the corresponding theme, and maybe representatives of the expert community to listen to different points of view and find the best options," Putin said.

He believes that the global crisis acquires more and more dangerous outlines, which inevitably affects Russia: “It was so in 2008, and now we are observing the same thing. Truth, unlike our friends and partners in Europe, other regions of the world, still the Russian economy demonstrates the viability and possibilities of further development,” Putin said.

At the same time, he drew attention to the fact that at the end of last year - the beginning of this year, "the rate of economic growth decreased somewhat, the real sector decreased even more."

"This is reflected in the income of the population, salaries have become smaller, although the total alleged incomes of the population remain approximately at the predicted level. Also, the mining sector began to restore, which, in principle, is a good signal in general for our country, in particular," Putin believes.

According to the president, last year "was generally good." Recalling that on April 17, Medvedev will make a report on the activities of the government for 2012, Putin invited him to "support the sprouts that are observed in particular in the mining sector and spread them to the entire economy."
