In Moscow, the police raid in one of the underground casinos at the university. At the same time, an unfinished underground hole was discovered, which attackers intended to use to evacuate players. To penetrate the building for gambling, the law enforcement officers also had to recall the military tricks of the time of feudalism and the siege of castles.
The casino was equipped right in the building of the Moscow State University of Instrument Engineering and Informatics (MSUPI), the official website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation reports. Employees of the Main Directorate of Economic Security and Countering of Corruption (GuibipK) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia with the power support of fighters of the Sobr Lynces took part in the raid of the gambling institution.
The casino was on the basement of a two -story building equipped with a banking type from high -strength metal alloys and equipped with outdoor surveillance cameras.
To storm such a university "fortress", special forces used the experience of medieval armies. "Police officers penetrated inside, destroying part of the wall," the Ministry of Internal Affairs explained. At this time, three employees of the institution who introduced themselves as guards were in the casino. One of them found a traumatic weapon, which was absent for permission.
As the operatives found out, each gaming hall of the underground casino is isolated by gateways disguised as cabinets. In the walls of the premises, caches are mounted to conceal gambling equipment. In addition, the police discovered outputs leading to the university’s courtyard, as well as the undermining for the emergency evacuation of customers and personnel in case of verification by law enforcement agencies.
Four tables for card games, three roulette, 70 slot machines with installed counterfeit software Novomatik, gaming boards, a large number of gambling chips and deck of cards, as well as video and photo registration of customers were seized at the institution.
According to operational information, the income of attackers was 3-5 million rubles per day.
The irony of the fate of MSUPI, in which a casino with technical innovations and curious medieval tricks acted, is one of the leading universities in Russia in the field of instrumentation, information-measuring and control systems, information and telecommunication technologies, robotics and mechatronics. In MSGUPI there are ten faculties and 41 departments. Ten branches of the university operate in the suburbs, Tverskaya and Yaroslavl regions, as well as in the Stavropol, reports the official website of this prestigious university.
"Today, the university is developing dynamically. Structural transformations are being held, new, modern departments, laboratories and scientific centers are created," MSUPI emphasize.
