
April 16 - Solidarity Day with Vladimir Akimenkov, a 26 -year -old political activist, one of the defendants in the "Swamp business".
In prison, Akimenkov loses its vision (the diagnosis of a rosucua koloboma and the congenital atrophy of the optic nerve), but the court refuses to change his preventive measure. The writer Lyudmila Ulitskaya offered to vouch for him and make a deposit, wrote letters to the head of the Moscow City Court and the prison authorities. Akimenkov was left in custody. Soon a year as he was in a pre -trial detention center. From prison, Akimenkov regularly transfers the words of support to other prisoners and political residents.

The campaign "One day - one name" began on April 7. Every day is dedicated to one of the accused in the "swamp case." On May 6, a large action will be held for the release of political prisoners.
