
Prime Minister Medvedev did not support the proposal of deputies to resign the Minister of Education Dmitry Livanov, RIA Novosti reports. “I don’t think that you expect from me that I agree with this. I will say one thing: the minister is, of course, not a ruble to everyone like it,” Medvedev said, answering a question from the deputy from the LDPR Igor Lebedev.
According to the Prime Minister, there are a number of positions in the government, which are called "shooting." Among them, he called the posts of ministers of education and health.
On Wednesday, the Lifenews website published a video of Putin’s performance at a government meeting, at which he allegedly threatened the government’s retirement. At the beginning of a two -minute performance, Putin asked to turn off the cameras. “How do we work? The quality of the work is insignificant. We do everything superficially. If we work like this, then we won’t do a damn thing! And if we work more persistently and professionally, we will do it,” said Putin.
Putin demanded to fulfill his May decrees (signed after returning to the presidential chair. - Ed.) "This needs to be done! If we do not, we will need to admit that either I work inefficiently, or you all work badly and you need to leave! I draw your attention to the fact that today I will be inclined to the second option! I think that this is understandable," Putin said.
Later, Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Putin did not talk about the possible resignation of the government, it was about governors. "It should be noted that in the written part of the material the essence of the president said is somewhat distorted, since yesterday's meeting was devoted to the issues of dilapidated and emergency housing, the conversation was primarily dealt with the heads of regions, and not about the office of ministers, as the publication indicates," Peskov said.
The government meeting was held on Tuesday evening in Elista and was devoted to the problems of the resettlement of residents of dilapidated and emergency housing. Putin criticized members of the Government and regional leaders for sluggishness in the implementation of the May decrees, in which his election promises are enshrined.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak, head of the Ministry of Economic Development Andrei Belousov, Minister of Finance Anton Siluanov, head of the Ministry of Regional Development Igor Slyunyaev, General Director of the State Corporation - the Housing and Public Utilities Reformed Fund for the Development of the Federal Fund for the Development of Housing, Alexander Braverman, general director Alexander Semenyaka, Plenipotentiary of Vladimir Ustinov, as well as the head of the republics of Buryatia, Kalmykia and governors of the Tula, Astrakhan regions.
On December 27, Putin, at a meeting with the Cabinet of Ministers, said that the government was successfully interacting with the presidential administration and the Federal Assembly. The President thanked all members of the government for his joint work and expressed hope for continuing it during the entire constitutional period.
