A guilty verdict was handed down in the city of Dalnegorsk, Primorsky Territory, to the cook of the Kolosok kindergarten, who was found guilty of poisoning 36 children.
“The female cook was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 236 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Violation of sanitary and epidemiological rules”),” Aurora Rimskaya, senior assistant to the head of the Investigative Committee for Primorye, told the Interfax agency.
The court sentenced the perpetrator to six months of correctional labor with a deduction to the state in the amount of 5% of her salary.
As reported, in January 2012, 36 children were poisoned in the Kolosok kindergarten in the city of Dalnegorsk. The pupils were taken to the hospital with a diagnosis of acute intestinal infection, and they were provided with medical assistance.
According to the investigation, the kindergarten cook, in violation of sanitary and epidemiological rules, used one oven to prepare various dishes. At the same time, she did not comply with the requirements of the technology for preparing meat dishes, allowing salmonellosis pathogens to get into the dish.
