This is the umpteenth time that unremarkable individuals who have undeservedly found themselves in power are trying to impose someone else’s choice on the residents of Ingushetia. The leadership of the republic intends to make its own people the main hostage of its decision tomorrow, assigning them the role of a captive spectator in this theatrical production. There will be no frank conversation and debate at this congress, just as there will be no right to direct elections. This entire scenario was orchestrated at the top with one goal - to once again subtly deceive the residents and retain the ruling elite’s position and influence on the cash flows flowing from the federal budget.
I have already said that the people will never voluntarily give anyone the right to abolish direct elections, that it can only be stolen or taken by force, as the republican leadership will try to do. But never give it up of your own free will! It is in such moments that the spiritual and moral principles and moral character of leaders are revealed. Having been very popular in the first months after his appointment, the head of the republic by the end of his term of office had lost the trust of the majority of residents. Despite his own conviction in the right of the people to direct elections, he obediently bowed to the “dissenting opinion” of his masters from Moscow. Once again we are shown that the authorities can, at their whim, force any head of the region to sacrifice not only their own principles and beliefs, but also the dignity of their people! All principles are alien to her, except for one universal principle of her own reckless strength and will. By implementing it through its institutions, it is ready to literally destroy anyone who gets in the way of its application.
Most recently, the country elected deputies to the State Duma and the President of the Russian Federation. And she chose, trusting them for the most part and placing her hopes on them. And now the people are reaping the fruits of this gullibility, feeling the effects of the perverted law on the election of governors and other laws stamped by them, perplexedly contemplating how the authorities, having carried them away, are drowning in the whirlpool of nationalist aspirations, social, religious intolerance and corruption. Many of the voters today can argue to the point of exhaustion, claiming their innocence in the 90 percent voting results in the North Caucasian republics, but this does not diminish their responsibility and guilt for the carelessness and passivity that the nouveau riche in power took advantage of.
Having failed to define the national idea designed to ensure the integrity of the country, our elected representatives blindly follow the worst and most insane path of dividing peoples into: their own and others, loved and unloved, worthy and unworthy, privileged and humiliated, developed and immature. And for each of these peoples, the individual framework of sovereign democracy is outlined from above. Now people's representatives from high tribunes speak more and more openly about the merits and demerits of this or that people and indicate how they should live.
This whole performance with the congress will look like an evil, ironic mockery of the people if it ends successfully for its scriptwriters. I can imagine from what seemingly unshakable heights the organizers and participants of this show will look into the eyes of the residents whom they are going to rob and betray! With what open hypocrisy and cynicism the leadership of the republic will disseminate the “unanimous decision” of the congress in all media!
There is already talk about paid representatives of the Ingush diasporas arriving at the congress from abroad.
And the position taken on the eve of this show by the social movements Mekhk-Khel and Akhki-Yurt is simply amazing in its inconsistency and naivety. Judge for yourself: the appeal adopted at the Mekhk-Khel conference on April 13 says: The Congress is needed only in order, through manipulation, misleading the delegates, to force the Congress to accept resolutions previously adopted by officials frightened by the possibility of losing power...
Don’t let the official delegates mislead you and make an anti-people decision that is beneficial to the snickering bureaucracy...
...The upcoming congress of the Ingush people should become a turning point in the life of our republic.
...We are confident that many of you are true patriots of your people.
...The agenda of the upcoming congress is provocative.
And in their address to the congress, adopted on April 17, they say that: “The Akhki-Yurt and Mekhk-Khel movements, representing a significant part of the Ingush people and expressing their fundamental interests, welcome the Congress of the People of Ingushetia and wish it beneficial work ".
Gentlemen, who are you greeting? Illegitimate delegates to an illegitimate congress?
How can you, arguing that the agenda of the upcoming congress is provocative in nature and that this congress is needed to adopt a pre-prepared resolution, welcome it and wish it beneficial work? Tomorrow these “delegates” will show us all the fruits of their “beneficial” work!
You will already make up your mind, as did the members of the Ingush community of Moscow and the Moscow region, who with their arguments clearly indicated their attitude to this show.
Tomorrow each of us will hope for a miracle. That the right of choice by the people will be restored. And I will never recognize another decision, just as I will not recognize the legitimacy of this congress!
