The Sarapul City Court of Udmurtia will consider a criminal case against two local residents who created a makeshift laboratory for the production of psychotropic substances using budget funds.
The Udmurtia prosecutor's office reported on Friday that residents of the city of Sarapul Vasily Korotkikh and Evgeny Falaleev are accused of producing a psychotropic substance and preparing for its sale. In addition, one of the accomplices is also accused of fraud.
According to the prosecutor's office, individual entrepreneur V. Korotkikh received financial assistance in the amount of 470 thousand rubles from the budget of Udmurtia through the employment center for the organization of eight jobs.
With these funds, he purchased chemicals and equipment to organize a makeshift laboratory for the production of psychotropic substances.
“In June-July 2012, V. Korotkikh and his acquaintance E. Falaleev produced a psychotropic substance in a clandestine laboratory organized in a non-residential building in the city of Sarapul - a mixture that included amphetamine with a total weight of more than 65 kg,” the report notes. .
The substance prepared for sale was seized from the clandestine laboratory during a search by officers of the Russian Federal Security Service in Udmurtia, and both “entrepreneurs” were detained and taken into custody.
