I am proud that I was involved in this work.

It all began on December 12, 2012. Then at the next meeting of the Round Table on December 12, it was decided to conduct a public investigation of events on May 6 . Even then, everything was clear, but in general terms. There were already detainees, unlawful decisions began, immediately everything became clear about the investigation. And about the events of May 6, too. But there were conversations. And it was necessary. They created a commission that was supposed to submit a report. A working group was formed, which immediately began to work.

Actually, it is the working group compiled from the representatives of the “Committee of May 6” and the Party of the RPR-Parnas, that are the main characters. They collected amazing material. A deafening in effect a collection of video and photographs. And most importantly - more than six hundred certificates of the participants of the action on May 6 - citizens who are trapped, arranged by the authorities. These are brave people. After all, most of them expressed their readiness to witness protection at the upcoming trials. Think about it. After all, the authorities failed to intimidate people. And this was one of the main goals of provocation.

I admit, I was “excited” only when I began to get acquainted with the materials collected as a member of the commission. I will try to describe my impression: this is a picture of an unprecedented for the last fifteen years of mass lawlessness. I am grateful to The New Times. On several pages, they gave an excellent selection of evidence from our report. They are already enough to make a shock impression. After all, all evidence neatly, like fitted puzzles, gathered in a clear picture of what was happening.

I saw massive, evil, cynical, provocative lawlessness, deliberately organized by power. Miraculously managed to avoid victims. The “law enforcement officers” squeezed the crowd, clogging it, openly provoked to response, introduced provocateurs, beat people, violating all existing norms that limit the use of violence. On the night before the procession, they cordoned off Bolotnaya and gnawed at the pavement, carefully preparing the asphalt for provocateurs. A police colonel was removed from Bolotnaya, who is usually busy coordinating the action with its organizers. The order to capture people entered before the movement of the column. Instead of crowding out people, they were surrounded by - fifty thousand people who do not understand what they were doing with them - and began to squeeze to cause panic. Disagance and sadisticly beaten the defenseless and weak, glancing on the sides, whether anyone would rush to protect them in order to immediately grab and solder the “attack in performance”. You can easily draw conclusions yourself, I suspect that we are more stringent than our commission allowed itself.

I will not repeat our conclusions, conclusions and a version of events presented at the end of the report. They have already been stated, including The New Times. It is important what will happen next. Therefore, our report ends with a short transfer of further plans. I consider it important to repeat it.

The commission will continue to work. We will prepare a second report describing and analyzing the course of trials over prisoners on May 6. To support this work, the commission organizes a parallel “process”, more precisely, permanent hearings. The course of trials will be analyzed on them, all procedural violations, our witnesses will be published, if they are not given words in the courts. In addition, we intend to distribute our report in international organizations from OSCE to the UN. We will promote it in Russia.

Finally, statements to the prosecutor’s office and the Investigative Committee are ready. In them, we demand an investigation on the facts of mass violations of our constitution and Russian laws by representatives of the authorities. We will sue and go to the European Court of Human Rights, if we do not find justice in our country, this power. We will seek the release of prisoners on May 6 and holding officials guilty of mass lawlessness accountable.

Yesterday, April 22, a public presentation of the report took place. They asked me why on this day? On the birthday of Lenin? Don't know. But I suspect that they guessed Jack Nicholson's birthday.

To make a report, the cinema -concert hall of the Cosmos Hotel was chosen. And there is a decent capacity - for a thousand seats. And what was my surprise when it turned out that not only the hall was filled, but also all the aisles, the lobby where the screen stood. I liked it. Although it is embarrassed to praise the event, to which it is somehow involved. As for me, the main shock of the evening is the letters of the prisoners on May 6. Excerpts from them were read by Leah Akhedzhakova and Maxim Sukhanov. I had a lump in my throat. And then Polina Ossetian played inspiredly and said. She quoted very accurate words: "When the right turns into lawlessness, resistance becomes a duty." And this is the main thing. So they decided, applause.

PS One thing was not clear to me: there were no provocateurs. Can anyone explain this?
