The police are looking for the criminals who committed a daring robbery on the Aleksandrovsky tract near Irkutsk on Tuesday morning, the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation reports.
According to the department, robbers attacked employees of one of the organizations in the Ust-Udinsky district, who were traveling to Irkutsk to purchase goods, when they stopped for breakfast at a roadside cafe near the village of Zorino-Bykovo, Irkutsk region.
At the exit from the cafe, a foreign car drove up to the traders, from which three men in masks and black tracksuits ran out.
“Having fired several shots, presumably from a traumatic weapon, they wounded one of the drivers in the arm, took a bag of cash containing more than half a million rubles, and fled,” the report says.
It is clarified that the criminals left in a Toyota Sprinter with tinted windows and without license plates.
An investigative team is currently working at the scene. Employees are identifying witnesses and eyewitnesses.
The police also ask citizens who know anything about the circumstances of the incident and the persons involved to contact the nearest internal affairs department. “Remuneration and confidentiality are guaranteed,” the message emphasizes.
