Immediately after dismissal from the army, Sergei Pomazun contacted crime. The first term - conditional - he received in 2003 for theft of the car. In 2005, for a similar crime, as well as for resistance during the detention, he was sentenced to imprisonment in a penal colony. After the vehicle again stole the car in 2008, he was sentenced to four years in colony. He was released at the end of 2012, he could not receive a parole, since he had 29 penalties for violating the regime. After the liberation, Blacks said that he had tied up with crime and stopped talking with his former friends, but the neighbors still noticed inadequate behavior after him.
Sergei's father, during interrogation in the Investigative Committee, said that his son began to behave abnormally precisely after returning from the colony in 2012. According to him, Sergey became gloomy and hot -tempered.
According to investigators, a few days before the crime, Sergei Pomazun came to the Okhota store to buy several rounds, but he was not sold due to the presence of criminal record. This was extremely angry with Blagazun and he promised the sellers to return and shoot everyone. Those, however, did not take the threat seriously and did not report it to the police. On April 22, Sergei Pomazun hacked the arms safe in his father’s apartment and took from there the traumatic gun and the Saiga and IZh guns, got into the BMW X5 paternal car and went to the Okhota store. In the store, Pomazun shot two sellers and one visitor, then, capturing firearms and several dozen rounds, went outside and shot in three more random passers -by - a man and two schoolgirls, one of which the doctors managed to deliver to the hospital, but she still could not save her life. He disappeared from the scene of the crime, but threw him on one of the neighboring streets after a collision with another car, and disappeared. The woman driving a car remembered the face of the criminal, which allowed to quickly determine his personality.

If the court recognizes Sergei Pomazun as a sane and guilty of all crimes incriminated to him, he is facing life imprisonment.
In the Belgorod region, on April 23 and 24 were declared days of mourning. It is planned to bury all six killed today, April 24th. The mayor of the city and the governor promised to support families who lost their loved ones - he would be allocated one million rubles. Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev also sent his condolences to the governor of the Belgorod region.
