On April 25, in the Moscow City Court, the verdict will be announced to the former member of the Russian socialist movement Konstantin Lebedev, the defendant of the "Swamp business". On Monday, the prosecution demanded five years of a general regime colony for him. The prosecutor in his speech noted that the accused "actively cooperated with the investigation, participated in the investigation and prevention of new crimes", and mentioned the positive characteristics of the defendant, but concluded that the severity of the Lebedev crimes did not allow to request a shortest possible time.
Lebedev is charged with part 1 of Article 212 (the organization of mass riots accompanied by violence, pogroms, arson, the destruction of property) for “riots” in the swamp square during the May Millions of the Million and part 1 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code (preparation for the organization of mass riots) according to the “facts”, “protest anatomy” 2 ”.
