Horses of the governor's stroller
On the cobblestone pavement in the supports.
Boy for unfulfilled fairy tales,
Biting your lip, - five bullets point blank.
Mikhail Gendelev. "Trefovaya Polka"

In a short afterword on the public hearings in the swamp business, Viktor Shenderovich managed to express all the painful doubts and fears of the Russian liberal intelligentsia. He was shocked by the fact that the wonderful pianist Polina Ossetian repeated the words, which, as it turned out, belonged to the West German Left Terrorist of the 70s Ulrika Minhof. Although, as Shenderovich himself admits, the phrase “when the right becomes lawlessness, the resistance becomes a duty“ one of the founding of the founding of the United States Thomas Jefferson, a man for Russian liberals is very authoritative.
Shenderovich worries that the level of state violence and social injustice in today's Russia is incomparable with West German patterns of forty years ago. As incomparable and traditions - both patience and response violence, when this patience ends. Therefore, the writer, without any enthusiasm, watches how "the thought of the moral responsibility of going beyond the legal field becomes relevant for the broad masses of the intelligentsia."
It is here that the reasons for, say, of a very ambiguous and more than restrained attitude of many participants in the protest movement towards swamp business. On the one hand, the monstrous injustice of what is happening is obvious. Obviously, the state machine consistently brought people to breakdown. That she acted and continues to act lawlessly and meanly. The monstrous inadequacy of the cruelty of the repressive machine in relation to the "swamp prisoners" is obvious - inadequacy of the forms of their resistance. But something prevented them from supporting them. After all, at least some of them really resisted the police: someone grabbed the riot police by the sleeve, someone pushed, someone pulled out the detainee from his clutches. Recognize that they had the right to do so, means pushing others to "exit the legal field." To do the same thing that they did the jury, justifying Vera Zasulich.
When the same mythology was replaced by the revolutionary mythology of the Soviet era, only the anti -revolutionary, liberal public for many years intensively inspired itself and others that those jury were wrong. And in general, it was the then public who with its impatience tore off the process of careful modernization, along the path of which wise professionals from the tsarist government led the country. It was necessary to establish a dialogue with them within the framework of the laws established by them, and not sympathize with any actions against them and morally support terrorists.
At the same time, they somehow lost sight of that the “level of state violence and social injustice” in the then Russia was incommensurable with Western European models of the 70s of the XX century. The tradition of left -wing terrorism in Russia had a fundamental difference from a similar Western European tradition. Still, the "red brigades" in Italy shot because they did not want to listen. The people fired because they were not allowed to say.
Now they are given to speak, and this holds many from the transition to political violence. But the level of state violence, state lawlessness and state meanness continues to grow. What inevitably puts the liberal intelligentsia before the question: were the jury, justifying Vera Zasulich?
On April 22, the Public Investigation Commission on May 6 submitted its unambiguous conclusions: most cases of police resistance on Bolotnaya Square were forced self -defense or protection of other participants in a peaceful action from massive, rude and lawless violence by the police. This lawless violence was the result of not some mistake or accident, but a deliberate crime planned and prepared by the police by order of the country's highest political leadership.
This commission is a representative forum of the liberal intelligentsia. Most very moderate. Configured on dialogue and compromise with the authorities and spent many years searching for sane partners in the ruling elite. Prepared for the sake of this, on occasion, bypass sharp corners, so that the power is not angry again. And it was such an audience that was a curse of the Cosmos Hotel. It was this audience that met the statements of the innocence of the "prisoners of the Bolotnaya" and the guilt of the authorities in the commission of an intentional crime.
Both the conclusions of the commission, and the reaction to them of the gathered public - this is a clear evidence that the liberal intelligentsia no longer considers the "prisoners of the marsh" to our heads, who have spoiled our heads, ruined our so good, such a positive, so kind white protest of smiles and balls. She considers them her own and considers them a business. She considers them not just victims of injustice, but her defenders, heroes who fulfilled their civilian and human duty, albeit, may be awkward.
This is evidence of recognition by the liberal intelligentsia of the fact that smiles and balls can not always be done, that there are situations when the use of retaliatory force is justified. And we should not talk about the fundamental admissibility of applying the response to representatives of the authorities, but about what situations and in what forms this application is permissible.
It also indicates that the liberal intelligentsia recognized the further search for mutual understanding with the Putin authority unpromising. I realized that no diplomacy would help to convince the regime to release hostages. So, they can’t do it worse and you can not be shy in expressions. You can call a spade a spade. To call white white, black, and criminal criminal power. It is clear that the courts fully controlled by Putin’s click never recognize the right to resist the police violence. Just as they do not recognize the fact that the police committed a deliberate crime by order of the highest political leadership. The liberal intelligentsia no longer hopes to influence the court decision. She intends to use this court for maximum discrediting power, to undermine her.
It seems that our liberal intelligentsia finally realized another very important thing: the country is not pushed on the path of violence by those who “went beyond the legal field”, but the lack of such support. Terrorism is often called the weapons of the weak. These are also lonely weapons. Weapons of desperate. The fault of the liberal public of the 70s of the XIX century is not that she morally supported the revolutionaries, but that she did it too late. Only when in her own skin did I feel what, for example, an administrative link is. I would have done it before - maybe it would not have reached terror.
No matter what theoretical constructions the revolutionaries of the 70s to their intention to go to terror, the psychological factor was decisive. They were just tired that they are taken with their bare hands and thrown into the casemates for things quite peaceful. For the word. And they did not have any moral support from the law -abiding liberal public then. And they wanted to give back.
The need for power to be arbitrary, the desire "not just the victim of the mouth, but to break the mouth" can only be compensated by the massiveness of non -violent disobedience. On May 6, a million is unlikely to be released in support of the "Prisoners of Bolotnaya". But if at least 50 thousand had come out, this would save future Russian boys from the need to independently force the vile and smug power to answer for the unfulfilled fairy tales about the legal state.
