Two ex-policemen will go on trial in Irkutsk for the murder of a “girl from the Internet”
The criminal case of two former Irkutsk police officers accused of murdering a girl who disappeared last summer after visiting a nightclub has been brought to court, the press service of the regional department of the Investigative Committee reported on Thursday.
In the summer of 2012, a 28-year-old girl went missing in Irkutsk. After a long search, her body was raised from the bottom of the Warm Lakes, located in a metal pipe with car rims tied to her legs.
Soon the suspects were detained. They turned out to be patrol service officer Nikolai Zamolotsky and traffic police officer Denis Gorlov.
“It was established that on the eve of her disappearance, the girl went to one of the nightclubs in Irkutsk, where D. Gorlov was waiting for her. They met on the Internet a few days before the tragic event. At the club, D. Gorlov introduced her to his friend N. Zamolotsky,” - the message says.
According to investigators, at night the company decided to continue the feast at D. Gorlov’s house. There, a conflict occurred between the girl and N. Zamolotsky, during which he struck her several times on the head and neck. She died from her injuries. Then N. Zamolotsky and D. Gorlov decided to hide the traces of the crime and hide the body.
It is noted that D. Gorlov agreed to cooperate with the investigation, but N. Zamolotsky did not give a confession. In addition, during his arrest he behaved aggressively and caused bodily harm to a SOBR officer.

Zamolotsky is accused under Part 1 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder), part 1 of Art. 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (use of violence against a representative of the authorities).
