Governor of the Irkutsk region: by 2020, more than 600 medical and obstetric stations will be built
In the Irkutsk region, it is planned to build and equip 667 paramedic-midwife stations (FAP) by 2020, the region’s governor, Sergei Eroshchenko, told reporters on Friday, commenting on the results of the “direct line” of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Currently, there are 682 medical and obstetric centers operating in the region. Almost all of them are in adapted premises; not all of them have centralized heating, water supply and sewerage,” said S. Eroshchenko.
The head of the region emphasized that all “substandard” first aid stations will be replaced with new ones over the next seven years. And he noted that in small villages it is planned to house housing for medical staff in the buildings of the centers.
S. Eroshchenko added that investors will be attracted to projects for the construction of first aid stations.
“We will build and equip it, including within the framework of a public-private partnership. We are working to attract investment,” said the head of the region.
The governor recalled that there are already examples of such successful cooperation in the Irkutsk region. Thus, together with B. Braun Avitum Russland LLC and the SOGAZ insurance company, three outpatient dialysis centers were built. Together with JSC Russian Railways, a medical train “Akademik Fedor Uglov” was launched, where residents of remote areas are examined.
“This year we will add four more mobile complexes based on KamAZ vehicles, which will operate in remote, hard-to-reach settlements that do not have railway connections,” recalled S. Eroshchenko.
