Captain and driver of the Nerpa Premier League are justified

In Vladivostok, the jury acquitted the former commander of the nuclear submarine "Nerpa" Dmitry Lavrentiev and the sailor Dmitry Globov, whom the investigation considers the main culprits of the accident on the submarine in 2008. The tragedy took away the lives of 20 people. During the tests on the Japanese Sea on board the "seals", a fire extinguishing system suddenly worked, which automatically filled the compartments with poisonous gas.

Lavrentieva and Grobova are judged for the second time. In 2011 , they were also recognized as innocent, but the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court sent the case for a new consideration.

The prosecutor's office of the Pacific Fleet believes that today the jury was biased, their position was affected by publications in the media in defense of the defendants. In particular, we are talking about the article in the publication "Free Press", which published a video of the crew negotiations during the accident. According to journalists, these personnel prove that the commander did everything possible to avoid the death of the whole team.

Representatives of the Vladivostok Marine Assembly and the Union of Submariners of the Pacific Fleet are sure that the captain is not to blame for the tragedy, but those who instead of a relatively safe Freon downloaded a cheaper but deadly tetrachloretilen into the fire extinguishing system. As it turned out, one-day companies were engaged in maintenance of this equipment. Who and how concluded contracts with them is not clear.

The nuclear submarine "seal" was built for India. Last year, she was transferred to the customer and now bears the name "Chakra".
