Today in my diary I would like to touch the topic that I am writing quite rarely about - about abandoned churches. This is not at all due to the fact that I do not like to visit them, rather, on the contrary, but, alas, it is not very common to get out. But in that year, during two trips, 3 churches were attended at the same time. I decided to unite them in one report and put it now. In fact, in the Moscow region, and even more so, in neighboring ones, the number of them is measured by hundreds. Now we will touch on two in the Kaluga region and one in Moscow.
The first two were visited during a trip with Svetliya4ek Sveta to the Kaluga region. On that day, we generally managed to, for example, a couple of atmospheric noble estates (... ..., ...) at the same time decided to go to a couple of churches standing in the villages next door to the Stepanovskoye-Pavlinskoye estate. It will be about the Church of the Nativity of Christ in the village of Shchelkanovo and the Vladimir Church in the village of Zubovo. At the same time, we stopped on the way to make a halt in a cozy and beautiful birch forest. So good and clean air was in this corner of the Kaluga region. In general, we had a great time. I would like to tell their stories.
"The Christmas Temple was built in 1800 in 1800 in the village of Shchelkanovo at the expense of the landowner Borisovna Lopukhina. The temple of Kamenny, did not have a special bell tower. The bells were on one of the four towers of the church itself. The temple has four chapels - the main one, consecrated in honor of the birth of Christ; in honor of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God, in honor of the martyrs of faith, hope, love and love, love and love. In honor of St. Nicholas the Miracle Worker, and a three-tier bell tower is a monument of the history and culture of the Kaluga region.

1. We arrived at the first temple. In general, the sun was almost all the time behind the cloud, but in the end it nevertheless looked out and lit the church. As you can see, restoration work has begun, but they go, as elsewhere, quite slowly and difficult.

The third church was visited in one of the city near Moscow, I won’t write an exact address, but who knows the Moscow region well, he will immediately know =) We passed by it twice, we just looked at the first - since there was cloudy weather, and we went to another goal. But the second time we decided to see what she was. Unfortunately (and maybe, fortunately), we could not get inside the church itself, but it came out to get into a couple of rooms, an attic and climb the bell tower. It is worth saying that the state of the bell tower is extremely emergency, the stairs hold on a good word, I would never advise others. Although, I do not argue, the views in good weather from above are just gorgeous. Her story deserves attention:
"Tserkov Holy Trinity (Trinity Church) is an Orthodox temple located in the city center, on the site of the historical city posad.
The temple was built in 1670. The southern chapel in the name of St. Basil Blessed and the refectory were built in 1714. Probably, the bell tower was built at the same time. In the middle of the XIX century. The refectory was built with two chapels consecrated in honor of Vasily of the Blessed and Bogolyubsky Icon of the Mother of God. The church was closed in 1960 (according to other sources in 1961). In the 1980s, restoration was carried out under the leadership of the architect S. A. Gavrilov. The restoration in the 1990s was completed under the leadership of architect Gaeva O.V. However, now the building is closed and abandoned for unknown reasons. Perhaps this is somehow due to the fact that the bell tower has a roll.
The Trinity Temple is a quadruple with five chapters and a tent bell tower. It has a refectory with the entrance of St. Basil Blessed, as well as a chapel in the name of the Bogolyubsky icon of the Mother of God.
15. On the first trip, we simply photographed the temple outside. It was quite cloudy.
16. In the second - we managed to get inside the bell tower. On the window of the second tier, we were greeted by someone's archaeological finds-old glass, pieces of ceramics and iron things of the utensils.
