Yusup Temerkhanov shot the colonel, but not at all because he had hatred for the social group "Russian military". He did not have a motive at all. Just took and killed.
Such, if you do not go into the details, the point of view of most jury, which issued their verdict in the well -known case, and this decision should be recognized as witty - with all the tragedy of plots associated with the process. Budanov was shot in the center of Moscow, the sentenced for his murder is threatened with a long time, nevertheless, the jury verdict causes, as it were, understanding. Any other might seem even more absurd.
That is, this is, of course, not about legal truth; God knows who killed the colonel. It is possible that it is Temerhanov. In his own way, lawyer Musaev is convincing, claiming that the case has been falsified, but he has such a job - to pull out fellow countrymen from Russian prisons. In addition, there are some evidence in the case: the “traces” of the accused, according to the prosecutor Semenenko, remained on the pistol, in the car, with glasses and gloves. Yes, and I am not very believed that investigators, investigating the murder, took the first Chechen and declared him a killer. Still, today it is not 1999 and Chechnya is not enemy territory, but a stronghold of stability and a sample of constitutional order. It seems that the whole swamp square is easier to plant in fabricated business than one killer of Yuri Budanov.
In short, if you evaluate the process in the Moscow City Court by modern standards, then there is a commendable competition of the parties. An honest judicial confrontation in which the administrative resource of law enforcement agencies opens against the administrative resource of Ramzan Kadyrov. And in this competition, which, like the murder itself, is a continuation of the civil war by other means, the chances of the parties are approximately equal. That is why, wanting to comprehend the era, it is so important to listen to the opinion of most jury.
I think that when pronouncing the sentence, they were subjected to double pressure, but at the same time tried to be guided by common sense. Therefore, the frankly delusional motive of the crime proposed by prosecutors was rejected by them. The prosecutors claimed that Temerkhanov killed Budanov, experiencing insurmountable hatred for the entire Russian army, the colonel became almost an accidental victim. The jury did not believe this.
Probably, they considered a completely different motive who remained outside the court, and we can understand the investigators who did not show him to the suspect. The fact is that the deceased Budanov was for the social group "Chechens" the embodiment of world evil. A symbol of all crimes committed by the Russian army. The personification of torture and humiliations that the unfortunate Elsa Kungaeva took on.
And if the investigators had to dig in this direction, then it would be necessary to recall that Ramzan Kadyrov personally promised to "give" to the "colonel". This did not mean that the effective Chechen manager was the customer of the crime on Komsomolsky Prospekt. However, this version should be developed, among the many others, and in general, to look for a customer who supplied Temerhanov with a weapon, and accomplices who carried out possible surveillance. However, the Chechen, whose father was burned alive by the federals, seemed to be an ideal killer, and the assumption that he has since hated all Russian soldiers and officers - an ideal version. The jury decided differently, and Temerkhanov was convicted that he shot at Budanov aimed - in both sense.
At the same time, they, as we might assume, expressed some sympathy of the accused. The fact is that murder based on hatred of a social group implies a lifelong conclusion. The murder is unmative, as in our case, punishable by a limited deadline. It was a compromise that completely arranged, I think, security officials, but caused a sharp rejection of Murad Musaev. “They will not receive Yusup,” the lawyer writes on his Facebook, and he doesn’t believe him, but you admit that the case is not over yet. For the forces of the parties, I repeat, are equal.
What next? Next is the verdict that should sound on May 7. Appeals to different instances, including the Supreme and Strasbourg Court, which the lawyer Musaev has already informed the public. However, sooner or later decisions will be made in these courts, and the process of the murder of Budanov will end. Only war is endless - the one that is easy to start and impossible to finish. Both the death of the colonel and the prison ordeals of his alleged killer are only individual, rather small episodes in the chronicle of this perpetual massacre.
