On Sunday I decided to do a little experiment. During the second half of the day I was in the park, playing the guitar, singing songs with Kolya and just relaxing. Of course, he wanted to go to the toilet. Out of curiosity, I went to the bar “On Sennaya”. And then a waiter blocked my way and began interrogating me: “Where are you going, young man.”

“How where? I’m going to the toilet,” I was perplexed. To which I received the answer that the toilets are only for visitors. When asked on what basis they decided this, I did not receive any clear answers. He argued with her for several minutes, after which the boorish girl decided to call some Vitya. I didn’t wait for Vitya and went to “Good People”, where they didn’t pay any attention to me at all, as it should be in a civilized establishment.

“In Europe, any citizen can go to any cafe. And we need to get used to this. We have 400 cafes. And an establishment that respects itself will never kick a person out,” Mayor Yuri shared his thoughts with the IG “Your News” Bobryshev last year. Well, we can assume that the bar "On Sennaya" does not respect itself. In general, I agree with the mayor in this case, except that the number of cafes that will let him and me into the toilet may be different. I wonder how a café that doesn’t respect itself can respect townspeople and tourists?

By the way, I want to find out from those knowledgeable on this topic: does an establishment have the right to not allow a visitor to use the toilet? I read that no, but I have not seen any special regulations on this matter.
