Moscow City Hall finally banned the procession on May 6

The capital's authorities finally banned the Coordinating Council of the opposition on May 6, allowing only a rally on Bolotnaya Square. This was reported on Twitter as a member of the CSR Petr Tsarkov following the results of the last round of negotiations in the city hall. The rally will be held from 19:00 to 21:30, the collection of participants - from 18 hours. The permitted number is 30 thousand people.

As the negotiating participants told the "faces", the city hall categorically refused to coordinate the procession for political reasons. Even the short route in the pedestrian area near the Tretyakov Gallery was rejected even by the applicants. At the same time, the metropolitan authorities made concessions in other matters: the protesters will occupy the entire Square of Bolotnaya Square, the number and duration of the event are increased.

The head of the regional security department, the city hall, Alexei Mayorov, previously justified the refusal to agree on the procession by possible transport problems. “We still do not see the grounds to create additional difficulties to Muscovites, blocking the traffic flows. On the contrary, we do everything as much as possible to reduce the ceiling of the road,” Mayorov said.

On April 24, the mayor's office agreed on the opposition on May 6 in the form of a rally in Bolotnaya Square without a procession. Since then, the CSO unsuccessfully held a number of negotiations, trying to achieve the resolution of the procession.

On April 20, the Coordinating Council of the opposition agreed on the format of the action on the anniversary of events on Bolotnaya. On May 6, it was planned to hold a protest march in Moscow, which will end with a rally. The procession was supposed to be held from Kaluga Square in Yakimanka, a rally in Bolotnaya Square.

Meanwhile, on April 29, the City Hall agreed on both a rally and a procession to the Expert Council of the opposition. The procession will be held on May 5 along the same route as indicated in the KSO notification - from Kaluga to Bolotnaya Square on Bolshaya Yakimanka. The gathering of participants on Kaluga Square at 16:00. At the end of the march, a rally will be held on Bolotnaya. It will pass from 18 to 20 hours. The coordinated number of participants is 10 thousand people.
