May Day in Penza, or the lower classes don’t want to

Then there was a meeting at which the speeches said that the authorities do not want to turn their faces to the people, they still stand behind them, pursuing an anti-people policy. I often visit areas of the Penza region, the problems the residents have are basically the same. This is outright blatant theft of budget funds, and other violations of the laws of the Russian Federation have become commonplace for officials. The relentless rudeness of officials at various levels is simply off the scale, it has long ago exceeded all conceivable limits... meanwhile, the governor of the Penza region V.K. Bochkarev is aware of everything that is happening on the ground, he is regularly reported, but everything remains as it is... Here is just one small example.

Not only did the authorities, under various far-fetched pretexts, not approve the event, then they brought in construction equipment to interfere with the rally, but they also issued an administrative protocol against the organizers of the rally. Of course, we will challenge it, but look, the entire administrative machine worked simply with lightning speed. Such a throw from an insolent panther...

So why is she reacting so sluggishly, almost in no way, to those facts that are already lying in stacks in the Gorodishchensky district prosecutor’s office against the heads of rural and urban administrations of the Gorodishchensky district? Well, it’s just some kind of “weak link”, honestly... Or is it “our own” who cannot be touched? After all, everyone knows and sees what officials are doing, there should be imprisonments in some cases, but these officials receive nothing for this, not even a reprimand. At the same time, the slightest fair criticism causes inadequate, a kind of super-aggression from the authorities. So what do we have, the prosecutor’s office of the Russian Federation of the Gorodishchensky district or is it the prosecutor’s office named after Mr. A.G. Berezin, designed to protect not the laws of the Russian Federation, but the peace of mind of A.G. Berezin himself? In other words, “protect” him? Why is the government accumulating the indignation of the people in this way and intensively pushing people out onto the streets? Do you want rallies and increased protest activity? Or is the government unable to do otherwise?
