On the occasion of a long weekend, I went to visit my father-in-law in exile at the hacienda in Artem. The trip turned out to be shocking. I went on a bicycle. 50 km one way. First there, back today.

Now I know that from the center of Vladivostok to the center of Artyom it’s only two and a half hours by bike, but from Podnozhye to the center of Vladivostok I get there in three.
But the purpose of the trip was not the fact of the trip itself, but the need to plow around the hacienda. And I had to work hard. Because cultivating virgin soil on a steep slope and planting bushes and trees in coarse gravelly soil or practically in bedrock is oh so not easy.

3. The dog that was in the frame in the previous photo is called Zara, the breed is Irish Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier.
4. She is not an important guard, because she is a good hunter. But the shepherd Hera perfectly performs security functions. She looks useless compared to her parents, but even though she is young, she performs her functions perfectly.
Continuing the dog theme: - On the way back I stopped by the newly minted gardener and gardener comrade quick_spinch And while he and berta_vl treated me to delicious tea, their Austin, a gorgeous husky, feasted on my birch sap from a bicycle flask, naturally having first ripped the lid off with his teeth... K Fortunately, the flask did not lose its functions, except for its tightness, and did its job perfectly for the rest of the journey.)
5. There will be a garden city here
6. On the way back, already on the ship, we were amused by 17 tourists from the Middle Kingdom feeding seagulls with bread. They fed noisily and constantly shouted something to the seagulls, who responded in kind.
7. At first I didn’t realize that they were going to feed the seagulls and kept wondering - why are they all standing on the deck with pieces of gray bread?
8. Some of the tourists were all trying to impress with their rhinestone iPhones. Yal is the sweetest in the world...
9.I was also pleased by two pretty girls who sat on the deck on luxury cruisers.
