A man detained for harassing a 9-year-old girl jumped out of the window of a police station in the Sverdlovsk region
In the city of Nizhny Tagil (Sverdlovsk region), on Tuesday a man tried to escape from the police department, taken there for sexual harassment of a 9-year-old girl, Valery Gorelykh, head of the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the Sverdlovsk Region, told the Interfax agency.
According to him, a resident of Alapaevsk born in 1992. I came to Nizhny Tagil to visit a friend, they drank alcohol together.
“When the girl’s father went to bed, the suspect began to harass his 9-year-old daughter. The girl began to scream and call for help. The man tried to escape, but was soon detained by police officers, whom the girl’s father contacted,” said Valery Gorelykh.
The suspect was taken to the police department building. At the moment when he was being led along the third floor, he tried to escape - he broke the glass and jumped out of the window. The police detained the fugitive.
During the fall, he received minor injuries and cuts; hospitalization was not required; doctors treated him on the spot.
It has already been established that in 2009 the man was already sentenced to one and a half years probation for a similar crime.
An internal investigation has been launched into the incident at the police department.
