President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, at a meeting with students, stated that real estate prices are stimulated by rich Russians who have chosen Minsk and other cities of the country as a vacation. The head of state noted that “not the poorest people come to the country, they have money” who stimulate the increase in prices in the republic. “But, on the other hand, non -poor people come. That is, there is a great good demand for Belarus, ”he added.
“Recently, information has passed, and this is true: the fact that the Russians have flooded us on these May holidays and there is not a single place in the hotel. I am happy in my soul. I am glad that Belarus has become such a welcome corner, where people would seek to come, ”Lukashenko shared. - I ask: why are they going here? We conducted such a closed survey, they say directly: "Behind the silence." Here they go with the children for silence. I say: "Well, not in Minsk." - "So not only Minsk - God forbid, so that in Russia it would be like that as you have in Minsk."
Lukashenko also noted that "all the conditions have been created for Belarusians today to earn their lives and their family."
The Belarusian leader once again added that he does not want Minsk to increase in size and turn into a real metropolis. Therefore, in his opinion, the growth rate of housing construction in the city must be reduced, and "the" labor flows are reoriented to the province. " “I would like Minsk to remain such a quiet, cozy city,” Lukashenko emphasized.Read also - Lukashenko disowned the Russian air base on its territory →
