In the residence of the American ambassador in Moscow, a meeting of Secretary of State John Kerry with representatives of civil society took place. The head of the Moscow Helsinki group told The New Times about her impressions of the meeting: “The conversation with Secretary of State John Kerry and the US ambassador to Russia Michael McFol was only 50 minutes. And we were eight people - NPO leaders, some have already been declared "foreign agents." John Kerry asked clarifying questions and at the end of the meeting said that the United States attaches great importance to civil society cooperation and human rights in Russia. The Secretary of State did not promise us any help, only expressed sympathy. I regard this meeting as a purely ritual one. Such a tradition has existed since Soviet times: the leaders of democratic states, coming on an official visit, have always met with leaders and for dessert - with dissidents. ”

Some detainees are charged with Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (“Violation of the established procedure for organizing a rally”).

At 21 hours, 12 civil activists were blocked by Tverskaya Street near the theater named after Ermolova, having launched a huge banner "Death to the Kremlin Occupants." They lit fireers, arranged a procession. They were delivered to the Tver police department. By May 13, the Tver District Court decided on administrative arrest of thirteen activists. Dates from 10 to 12 days under Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (“Imaginance by the legal order of a police officer”). Only on May 9, 40 activists were detained.
