In the Novokhopersky district of the Voronezh region, Chopovtsevi beastly beaten eco -activists protesting against Nickel's extraction. According to the website of the Khopra defenders, the conflict occurred on Monday evening at the Elansk Nickel Field, where the Mednogorsk plant begins exploration.

Participants in the eco -camp approached a metal fence with barbed wire, which, in their opinion, was installed illegally. Employees of the Patrol SKOP, opening the gate, began to beat the activists, then grabbed three people, dragged them by the fence to the fenced area, pushing the rest of the activists and the police. Closing the gate, they collectively beat the activists behind the fence, then throwing some through a two -meter metal sheet of the fence.

Igor Zhitenev, the chieftain of the cultural and national autonomy of Novokhopersk, lost consciousness when beating, his brain concussion was recorded, ribs were broken and his jaw was damaged. Activists have their teeth knocked out and his noses are broken. Two activists pierced their heads with stones. In total, more than ten people were affected, by many, electric skiers were used.

Beating eco -activists at the Yelansky field

Activists set up a peaceful protest camp at the Elanskoye field last weekend. On Sunday, they stopped working on the installation of a five -kilometer fence with a concrete foundation on the lands of agriculture.

According to eco -defenders, in the territory of the Elansk and Elkinsky deposits, large -scale illegal work on agricultural lands are underway, the police are not trying to stop them. On Monday, the representative of the local Cossacks, Alexander Dolpolpyatov, began a hunger strike in the center of Novokhopersk. Several more local residents plan to join the hunger strike. The requirements of the starving and participants in the camp are a complete ban on non -ferrous metals in the Black Earth Region, the implementation of a program for sustainable development of the whim, attracting investments in agriculture and tourism.
