CSO supported the "march against executioners"

The Coordinating Council of the opposition decided to support the initiative to hold a protest "march against the executioners" on June 12 in the center of Moscow. This was reported on Twitter of the coordinator of the Left Front Sergey Udaltsov. The main goal of the action on June 12 is to support the "swamp prisoners" before the trial.

The route of the procession will be determined later by the working group, after which a notification will be submitted to the Moscow City Hall. As a priority, the option is considered from Kaluga Square along Yakimanka to Bolotnaya Square. "It must be emphasized that the march on June 12 is precisely the civil initiative, and the Constitutional Court of the opposition will provide comprehensive support," Twitter Udaltsov said.

On Wednesday, Under House arrest, Udaltsov published on his blog a call transferred through lawyers to hold a march on the eve of the “Swamp case” process. “Go to the center of Moscow with portraits of those ghouls who strangle our freedoms and rot in prisons of innocent people. The rally, in my opinion, is not needed (everyone said on May 6), there will be enough procession. By the way, on June 12, Leonid Razvozzhaev will turn 40 years old. And I’m sure that the new march will be the best gift for his birthday,” wrote Udaltsov.

On May 6, the coordinated rally on the anniversary of the events on Bolotnaya was in a truncated format due to the death of the worker during the installation of the scene. At least 20 thousand people gathered in a rally in Bolotnaya. The procession of the city hall refused to coordinate.

On April 24, the TFR press service said that a criminal case allocated for separate proceedings against 12 accused in riots in Bolotnaya was transferred to the Prosecutor General. After approving the indictment, the case will be sent to the court.

Vladimir Akimenkov, Nikolai Caucasian and Leonid Kovyazin are accused of participating in the riots (part 2 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code). Andrei Barabanov, Stepan Zimin, Denis Lutskievich, Yaroslav Belousov, Artem Savelov, Sergey Krivov, Alexander Dukhanin and Alexei Polikhovich are also accused of applying violence to a representative of the authorities (part 1 of Article 318). Maria Baronova was charged under part 3 of Article 212 (calls for active non -notification to the legal requirements of representatives of the authorities and for riots).

On April 22-23, the Moscow City Court extended until July 6 the deadlines for suppressing the seven defendants, in whom they ended earlier than this date. The prosecution argued its application with the need for additional time to prepare materials for the final hearing.

On Thursday, the collegium of the Moscow City Court canceled the extension of the arrest of Akimenkov. If the decision of the board is not appealed by the investigation or the prosecutor's office, on June 10, Akimenkov will be released before the trial on the merits. This is the first case of satisfying the appeal in the "swamp case".

The investigation against the rest of the defendants continues. "The investigation intends to establish and bring to justice of all organizers, participants in the riots and persons who applied violence against representatives of the authorities on May 6 in the Moscow Square, in connection with which a set of investigative and operational measures are currently ongoing," the SKR said in a statement.

June 12 is celebrated as a state holiday in memory of the adoption of a declaration of state sovereignty of the RSFSR in 1990. Since 2002 it is called "Day of Russia". On June 12, 2012, the Million-2 march was held. In Moscow, from the monument to Pushkin along the boulevards to Sakharov Avenue, where the rally took place, tens of thousands of people passed. According to approximate estimates of journalists, at a peak moment the number of march participants could reach 40-50 thousand. Protest shares were held in other Russian cities.
