Russian scientists and meteorologists recorded the echoes of a large earthquake that occurred in the Sea of Okhotsk today in Moscow and a number of Russian cities. People called Roshydromet and talked about their sensations: someone clearly felt light fluctuations in the building, alarm was triggered by the cars, aquariums were shocked in some places in the house and fish jumped out of them, and chandeliers swayed in apartments and offices and flowers fell. But experts reassure Muscovites: they do not expect any serious consequences from these shocks.

The head of the situational department of the situation center of Roshydromet, Anatoly Tsygankov, told Radio Liberty that at 9 hours 47 minutes of Moscow time, the Tsunami system recorded an earthquake in the Sea of Okhotsk at a depth of more than 600 kilometers of 7.3 magnitude 7.3. His echoes were felt not only in Moscow, but also in Nizhny Novgorod, some other large Russian cities, as well as in Europe, in particular, in Romania. There is no data on the magnitude of the magnitude in Moscow yet, but judging by the fact that people felt only separate non -trees, there was nothing wrong, said Anatoly Tsygankov.

Nevertheless, according to some reports, in connection with underground shocks in Moscow, an evacuation was carried out in one of the office buildings in the Taganka area, employees of a number of institutions near the Belorusskaya metro station were also evacuated, at Malaya Dmitrovka and on Nikitsky Bulvar.

The echoes of the earthquake in the Sea of Okhotsk seemed to have reached St. Petersburg. In the morning, people who were in one of the high -rise buildings on Gakkel Street noticed that the tower was hesitating, some felt nausea and dizziness. They were forced to go outside, according to eyewitnesses, swinging the tower were visible to the naked eye.

The arrived employees of the Ministry of Emergencies did not find damage, but the police cordoned off the building and through the loudspeakers asked people to move away from him to a safe distance. The traffic police did not block travel along nearby streets. Employees of Vodokanal arrived at the place to check underground water communications. The building is not disabled from electricity. In order to open an office building on Gakkelovskaya Street again, experts must check the integrity of the building structures. It also turned out that high-rise buildings fluctuated not only in Primorsky, but also in the Krasnogvardeisky district of St. Petersburg.

Some experts, however, do not consider the current events necessarily the consequences of shocks in the Sea of Okhotsk, suggesting that they can be associated with some small earthquake of local scale. However, according to the experts of the Pulkovo seismological station, the tower was pumped, most likely, precisely because of the earthquake in the Far East of the country. The same version adheres to the geophysical service of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Experts call this event unique, since until today it was not known that seismic waves would apply to such long distances.

In the Sea of Okhotsk, according to meteorologists, there are no threats of a strong tsunami - contrary to initial forecasts.
