310 years ago, May 27, 1703, Peter I founded the city of St. Petersburg. The future Peter and Paul Fortress was laid on the hare island in the Neva Delta. In his military magazine, the king wrote: "On the 16th day of May, the fortress was laid and called St. Petersburg."
