In St. Petersburg in the rally in defense of entrepreneurship and private property organized by the city branch of Solidarity, the St. Petersburg departments of the "democratic choice", "folk alliance", "Yabloko" and other organizations that are part of the Coalition "Democratic Petersburg" also participated. The main slogan of the rally is "Hands off the small business!" Participants in the action demanded tax holidays for newly opened enterprises, the same sparing housing and communal services tariffs for small entrepreneurs, as well as for poor citizens, reforms of the judicial system and maximum reduction of regulatory authorities. They brought with them many posters, including "enough to feed Moscow!" Or "small business is the basis of the economy."
"This year, a significant date will be noted in the context of a catastrophic deterioration in business conditions, against the backdrop of mass ruin of small and medium -sized enterprises, intensifying pressure on private initiative from the state’s power structures. According to official figures, more than 300 thousand small enterprises and individual entrepreneurs have ceased their activities in Russia. As a result, the country lost about two million jobs," - It is said in an appeal common by the organizers of the action.
As Joseph Skakovsky emphasizes the member of the Political Council of St. Petersburg "Solidarity", this day this day is celebrated in the context of a sharp deterioration in the situation of entrepreneurs, especially small businesses:
"First of all, this is a tax problem! An increase in social deductions has led to the fact that many are forced to leave their business - they cannot pay such money. Our small business is not developed, is closed at the service sector, this is not like a small business in the West, which works for large corporations. Hence its difficult situation."
But this is only one side of the matter, the problem has a political component, Joseph Skakovsky continues:
"An obvious course is underway on the nationalization of the economy, this is a huge number of criminal cases. Their significant number is associated with the departure of ownership. The law enforcement agencies are taken by successful enterprises - unknown to anyone. Nobody needs it. 111 thousand entrepreneurs in prison over the past three years, this is a monstrous figure that allows us to talk about consistent terror against this social group. And another 600 thousand were held accountable - you are not responsible - you were not reduced to responsibility - you are not accountable They put it, but you have no time to deal with a thing.
According to the leader of the Libertarian Party Andrei Schalnev, the state is trying to solve its problems at the expense of business:
"This year they doubled social contributions, the effect was the opposite: many simply closed their enterprises, the contributions did not increase, and the hole in the pension budget is growing. Without elected ineffective authorities, they carry out ineffective reform. We need real pension reform, which will allow, having privatized a sufficient amount of state property, to ensure a decent future for the old people."
In Russia, private business is not only difficult to exist, but also dangerous, Vsevolod Nelaev, representing the RPR-Parnas: is sure:
"It all started with NTV and Yukos, then the business community decided that this does not concern us, it was a big policy, a special case or even a well-deserved punishment. Today, the hands of the security forces reached the stalls and small stores. The situation is very difficult!"
